What is AmazingDrop?

AmazingDrop is the private transfer feature inside Amazingface. It sends end-to-end encrypted photos and videos to a trusted AmazingDrop recipient without creating a shared cloud album.

How it works

1. Choose photos or videos inside Amazingface.
2. Select a trusted AmazingDrop recipient.
3. Amazingface encrypts the files before transfer.
4. The relay delivers encrypted transfer data.
5. The recipient decrypts the transfer inside Amazingface.
6. The relay removes the transfer data after delivery or expiration.

What is an AmazingDrop ID?

An AmazingDrop ID is a receiving handle that other people use to send you encrypted transfers. It identifies the recipient—not one specific device—and is not your Apple ID, email, or phone number.

What the relay server does

The relay server temporarily helps deliver encrypted AmazingDrop transfer data between sender and recipient. It stores only encrypted ciphertext during the transfer window and removes the transfer data after delivery or expiration.

What the relay server cannot see

The relay server cannot see your original photos and videos, thumbnails, vault password, recovery phrase, or decryption keys. It only handles encrypted transfer data that was encrypted before upload.

Transfer limits and quota

AmazingDrop usage is counted based on encrypted transfer data. Free users can receive small transfers up to the monthly receiving limit. Plus and Pro plans include larger monthly transfer usage for sending and receiving. Additional usage, if purchased, is valid only for the current subscription period.
